Chris Lake
Case Study
Campaign
LabelWorx supported with the hugely successful release of Chris Lake’s debut album ’Chemistry’ on his own label Black Book Records, an independent, self-funded campaign that marked a defining chapter in his career.
Background
Chris Lake delivered his debut album Chemistry via his own imprint Black Book Records, an independent, self-funded release that marks a defining chapter in his career. The 15-track LP captured Lake at his most confident, fusing club-ready energy with bold, genre-blurring creativity.
Strategy
Honouring the sound that shaped his rise while exploring new ground, Chemistry featured standout collaborations with Bonobo, MPH, Abel Balder, Kelly Lee Owens, Aatig, and more, showcasing Lake’s sharp curatorial ear and boundary-pushing approach. Supported by a major global tour, including Red Rocks, Waterfront Park, and a Brooklyn Storehouse double-header with Tek Support, the campaign highlighted Lake’s continued impact on dance culture. Chemistry is a bold statement of independence and a powerful reminder of his place at the forefront of electronic music.
